Books have always been a big part of my life. As a child, I immersed myself in books, both at home and in the library. I spent hours poring over encyclopedia entries, looking up books with the card catalog, and browsing the magazine archives (both from a bygone era). Reading and learning were an integral part of my life. By the time I was married with several children, I had my own library comprised of thousands of books, was a volunteer librarian at our local library, and was leading a women’s book discussion group.
In 2005, I read a book that completely changed my life. The next year, I was asked to review and edit a book for a friend. Over the next several months, I began to realize I had a passion for not only reading and learning from books, but also for correcting grammar, punctuation, and style for new ones. In 2009, after editing a couple of books and having a desire to edit more, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and begin a publishing company.
My hope is that what began with a few books will grow into many, and a lifelong journey of happiness along the way.
